Darkness Into Light
This walk is dedicated to mental health awareness. We were honored by the presence of Chief Minister YAB Tuan Chow Kon Yeow, whose engaging dialogue helped emphasize our mission of breaking the stigma surrounding mental well-being.
This milestone event was made possible through the generous support of our sponsors Dexcom (Executive Sponsor), Pentamaster, Jabil, Plexus, and Greatech alongside the tireless dedication of local NGOs and volunteers.
Festival of Joy
For over a decade, we have remained committed to a vital promise: ensuring every child feels seen, included, and celebrated. 2025’s Festival of Joy brought that mission to life, welcoming over 280 underprivileged and special needs children from 22 homes across Penang and Kulim for a morning of laughter, dance, and play.
The event was graced by YB Dato’ Seri Sunderajoo, ADUN Perai, and made possible through the generous support of meal sponsors Kirtiga Meals and Sri Ananda Bahwan, alongside contributions from Dickfield Industries and Poliklinik Bagan. To our dedicated volunteers, the Rotaractors of Penang International Dental College and our members, your “Service Above Self” turned a simple outing into cherished, lifelong memories for children who deserve every moment of happiness.

Microbit Training Programme
The Rotary Club of Butterworth is working with the Penang Science Cluster (PSC), to undertake the Micro:Bit Training programme for students in SRK Convent Butterworth.
20 refurbished laptops were handed over and Rotary sponsored teach-ware in the form of the MicroBit kits to the schools
The “teachers training programme” was delivered by trainers from PSC.
These teachers will then tutor the students in Standard 5. The school has agreed to set up special clubs, comprising students in Standard 4 and Standard 6, who will also undergo this programme.

Walkathon (Mouth Cancer Awareness)
Another joint project with other NGOs to raise awareness for Mouth Cancer Awareness which was spearheaded by Penang International Dental College.
Penang’s state Deputy Chief Minister II Prof. Dr. Ramasamy and MP Steven Sim together with other leaders of the community were in attendance to officiate the event.
After the completion of the walkathon, participants were treated to a class of Zumba, door gifts and other activities relating to mouth cancer awareness.
We also set up a booth at the event to raise awareness and interacted with the crowd that morning.
